As the mercury is squeezed out of the microscopic pores of the iris. It mixed with the salinity of the tear solution forming mercurous chloride which gives the eye a yellowish tinge. You can carefully wipe the yellow crust like material away as it forms. Carefully discard the tissue in a properly labeled container since you have now generated a hazardous waste code UN2025. If improperly disposed of in a water body please immediately notify the US Coast Guard 1800 424 8802. Thank you
