Vasectomy My Story

Gidday,

I had my vasectomy done because I'm 41 years old and my wife 43. We both have a child by separate marriages, I have a girl (now 17) and she has a son (now 14).
She asked me if I would have it done as she didn't want to keep taking the pill into her 40's plus and I thought yeah why not, there is no way I want to bring any more children into this horrible dog eat dog world!

So I went with my wife to the clinic and we saw a couple waiting who looked about 50-plus with a new baby in a pram! It was so damned funny but I hid my mirth.
I went in and the Doc gave me a couple of 'uncomfortable' injections and then I could feel him tugging a little at the left vas. The nurse helped but hey no big dramas they see this every day. The sewing up didn't hurt at all.

Then a lesser tug on my right testicle and he sewed it up and it was all over, 35 minutes maybe 40 but any guy who is scared DON'T BE because it is so easy. I got purple bruising over my scrotum that went black but was NORMAL. Some guys get leg bruising too but it is no big drama and now after 17 ejaculations I get a sperm count done...(yep picture of Maura Tierney in a cute litte skirt and high heels did the trick into the bottle!

No sperm were there so I am fixed, although there is that quait feeling of a loss to have another baby, but at 42 and 43 it is really quite silly. We'd look like grandparents and the risks at that age are higher for abnormaility.
I got emotional about it one night but now I'm as happy as Larry and my wife doesn't have to risk blood clots or anything because she is now off the pill.

The way I look at it is that my cost after medicare was $85- and it is the BEST way to do things. I'm ok now and back to normal providing my wife doesn't find my pictures of that hot doctor from ER!
