I too would like to know what those little straight red things are.

They look to me like clips of red thread. On the day I saw about a dozen of them they were uniform, all about 1/4 inch long. Later I saw more raggedy ones, nearly 1/2" long...one at a time.

But, I only saw them in my urine, when I had occasions to pee in a chamber pot. (Long story.) I would have missed them in the toilet bowl, and I don't know if they have been in stool, as well.

Usually I don't care what strange things pass, but, these showing up in urine makes me wonder what other symptoms they cause...like urinary urgency, for example.

Still, I don't know what else I could do to expel them...other than keeping up with three rounds of Humaworm annually.

In my family we may have been born with this or some other urinary infection.
