chronic wound
One way to increase growth factor concentrations in wounds is to apply the growth factors directly, though this takes many repetitions and requires large amounts of the factors.[5] Another way is to spread onto the wound a gel of the patient’s own blood platelets, which then secrete growth factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), insulin-like growth factor 1–2 (IGF), PDGF, transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), and epidermal growth factor (EGF).
maybe take some of your own blood and mix it with some oil and apply it to your lips?
i also think there is some good info here that can help us
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inflammation
Chronic inflammation is a pathological condition characterised by concurrent active inflammation, tissue destruction, and attempts at repair
Persistent acute inflammation due to non-degradable pathogens, persistent foreign bodies, or autoimmune reactions
duration Up to many months, or years
The inflammatory response must be actively terminated when no longer needed to prevent unnecessary "bystander" damage to tissues.[3] Failure to do so results in chronic inflammation, cellular destruction, and attempts to heal the inflamed tissue
