I like taking IP6 when I eat raw whole grains, to get the co-factors. Same is when I take vitamin C, along with some citrus. I take taurine when I eat meat and also cysteine and cyanocobalamine when I eat eggs. It's just a gut feeling but I sense that those other things present along with the supp'd substance in their naturally-occurring form have a substantial chance of enhancing absorption, utilization, efficacy,... I supp cod liver oil after I eat a can of norwegian sardines.
