Re: EDITED

Vulcanel, you are right that I don't know anything about you, except what you have wrote on these forums, and I've really only read very little of that. I know a little while back you stated that you did not believe in life after death, to which I made a comment if you remember. That is all I need to know to know you are not a believer in the Christ of the bible. Christ gives all those who believe eternal life, and every believer longs for that. To answer your question of what is a Christian, the bible says a Christian is one who puts their trust in Christ alone, not in their own works to save them (Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.) The bible is about Christ. He is everything. Apart from Him, we are nothing, and can do nothing. Even those who spit in His face and deny He exist have what they have, and do what they are able to do, because of His grace. So a Christian is one who believes in Christ, trust in Christ, follows Him, suffers with Him, loves Him and is loved by Him. A Christian has a relationship with Christ. Is that you? It so, then I would be very glad. But if Christ is who you put your trust in and believe in, then I've certainly not see that in your writings on the forums. You said you look forward to me telling you about your relationship with Christ---it seems non-existent to me. If you knew Him, you would talk of Him, because you wouldn't be able to help yourself. There is only one Christ. The bible was written about Him. If you don't believe the Bible is the inherent word of God, then we have no grounds to debate------we would go around in circles. My husband and my neighbor debate a lot. My neighbor does not believe in Christ or the bible. The debates have gone on for a couple of years now. I think they both enjoy it, but neither has changed each others minds. Only Christ can change minds, and He does it everyday, but in His timing. I don't want to go in circles with you, especially when I don't know you on a personal basis. We would both be wasting our time. But one last thing---Christianity is not about right and wrongs, rules and regulations. So whatever you could come up with to say I was not a Christian, won't mean anything to me. I know I'm am saved by grace. I know I mess up daily. How I handled the avatar situation was probably not good at all, but I was mad. I am a Christian, but still human. That's why my trust is in Christ, and not in myself. Trusting in yourself is foolishness, and there is no hope in it. If you post a response to this, I may or may not respond, depending on what you say. I really don't want to get into a useless debate, and I'll be neglecting things and people that I really can't afford to neglect if I do.
