Thanks for your comments, Rock78. There is much in your message that I agree with. I'm certainly aware of the historic and recent effective uses of silver to control pathogenic organisms. Injecting your genitalia with silver is a little off target since the virus goes dormant in the sacral ganglia near the base of the spine.
I agree that Valtrex is rather expensive. It goes off patent in 2009, so look for a generic version around that time that will be much less expensive. In the mean time generic acyclovir is quite inexpensive now and it as effective for most people as Valtrex, although you may have to take 2 doses a day instead of 1 for suppressive effect.
All that being said,
Colloidal Silver is not going to be a "cure" for herpes. It is necessary to understand the modus operandi of the sneaky little herpes virus. It is not a separate living organism, but rather a snippet of DNA that becomes part of the DNA of the infected nerve cell. Silver is not going to "kill" it. See
