infertility and birth spacing

Hello,

I am 27 . my daughter will be 4 in August and I havent been able to conceive another baby yet. I am in amenorrhea since her birth.
I did extended breastfeeding until 26 months. But even after weaning, menstruation didn't show up.

My gyn says the reasons lie mainly in stress from parenting ( I am married, but I have always been the one who cares about the baby), and maybe dietary changes ( I went on the raw food diet for 18 months and lost a lot of weight, I am now partially cooked, optimal weight ).
She put me on homeopathic treatment. Nothing happened so far. She says if I do not menstruate, in May she will put me on hormones to get my ovaries going.

I feel anxious about conceiving again. I'm not sure whether taking synthetic hormones might actually be a good idea. Maybe the fact I am not fertile means that I am not ready for another baby?
My gyn says that it's a silly thought, she seems to think that the engine got stuck , and that the hormonal kick will jump start it.

I feel somewhat afraid not to be able to conceive again. I also feel that it might be too late. My older child has been the only child for 3+ years and will likely be at least 4 1/2 by the time I will be able to deliver a sibling.

I would like women who have widely spaced children to share their thoughts and experiences. I would also appreciate insights from women who tried hormones to treat infertility.

Thank you
