Drink without Kelp

I have been doing this drink for about 8 weeks. As I stated in a previous post, my salivary glands seemed to have swelled or reacted to the iodine. I was doing 1 teas. of the Frontier Kelp. After backing off a few days, I noticed a difference, so I then took the drink and ate some dulse from Maine Sea Vegetables. I ate about 1 tab. The next day I felt the reaction again.

My diet is very good. I eat lots of fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and all organic eggs and meat. I drink plenty of fresh water and get sunshine every day. I was taking my PH and it was up and down. The purpose of this drink was to keep it from getting too acidic. I love the way it makes me feel but now I am nervous about the way I am reacting to the kelp. I know you suggested eating a kelp with less iodine so that is why I switched to the dulse because I read on the label that the iodine was much less. I was hoping you would be able to steer me in the right direction as I don't want to stop eating the kelp but it feels uncomfortable around my jaw line when I eat it. Oh, by the way, I saw a natural doctor around 3 months ago who told me I was deficient in iodine and my thyroid was sluggish. He prescribed kelp tablets. I was taking 4 a day (only for a few weeks) and I now remember feeling the same thing! So, somehow, I am reacting to the kelp. I want to take it because I know how beneficial it is but I don't want to do any harm......what do you suggest, the drink without it?
