Re: Cured Chronic GERD. There is hope
There is truth to most of these posts. However, I have found no smoking gun for my GERD and chronic bad breath associated with it. I have tried ACV, proton inhibitors, Tums, Acidolphus, Digestive Enzymes, Ceyanne Pills, and Liver flushes. 6 years of hell.
What has worked.
Liver Flushes took away the burping and has made the GERD not constant, but more closely related to stress levels and dietary choices. Acidolphus does help with digestion for me, but does not solve everything. Ceyanne pills and ACV work before bed or after meals. They help digest and clear the stomach before you lie down.
Ohh for you oral folks. I did replace all my silver. Ouch almost 3 grand. And I use Closys found at Walgreens. Closys has chlorine dioxide, no alcohol! The dentist says my gums are perfect and he thinks the breath is reflux, judging from the enamel issues on the inside of my bite. It's not my mouth.
What doesn't work. The doctors have been little help. I have no anger towards them as they are, "practicing medicine," and we are all different. I have tried Tagamet all the way to Zegrid, the latest drug @ $150 per script and not covered by any health care provider. Curezone posts have been the only releif.
My opinion. GERD is liver and a bowel issue. I go 2 - 3 times a day after transitioning to a more alkaline/natural diet. So I think the plaque has worked it's way out of my colon by now, as it has been almost a year on this diet. I continue doing the
Liver Flushes and always get stones, especially when I cheat on the diet. It's hard not to cheat on ones diet. I still drink coffee, it actually lessens the GERD. Leading me to believe I need more acid, but who knows for sure. Recently a Curezone post suggested GLYCINE and TAURINE, as they stimulate bile cleansing of the liver. I now pass stones without liver flushing. So my liver is probably still pretty congested, malfunctioning, maybe damaged from 20 years of processed foods, pop, and college binge drinking.
Please keep posting. If anybody has gone through my regiment and found the magic bullet please reply to me. I am tired - God, my spouse, and focusing on positivity has kept me moving ahead. The breath is so embarrassing!
