Re: CDC says breastfed babies are less prone to infection
1. Children who would otherwise have died in utero end up being born due to advances in health and medicine (whatever kind you like that's not a fight I'm picking)
2. Children who are born premature who otherwise would have died in utero end up surviving. Right now, something like 75% of children can survive being born at 24 weeks, but 50% of them have substantial medical problems - anatomically and physiologically.
3. Developmental disorders like autism are being looked for and screened for, and more people know what the entities are. Go back to the 1980's - nobody knew what autism was. Do you really think it's because autism didn't arrive on the scene until recently? People who had autism were given up to state insitutions, put up for adoption, abandoned, shunned from their homes, or just locked in their rooms all day. Think about all those "weird" or "crazy" people you've met, homeless on the streets, friends and relatives, those awkward kids in grade school who didn't really fit in society. Were they just "weird" or "crazy"?
Vaccination could be a contributing factor to developmental disorders, it's definitely possible. However, by focusing in on just one possible factor, people are too busy pointing fingers instead of looking at the big picture.
