I would gently suggest the perception of "bashing" is a perspective of separation, and maybe arose a few days ago. I don't see anyone doing that,(maybe there were a few minor scuffles of reaction, but nothing radical imv), but then I don't quite relate to such black and whiteness as the concept of bashing. I see people genuinely dialoguing from wherever they are with an aspiration toward "Being". It's inspiring. I like what Tolle is saying as far as I can tell from this online event. and I'm willing to shift my impressions and change my mind in a second, as I come to more awareness. I happen to resonate with what, as you point out, are elements of ancient teachings of wisdom and compassion. I also respect that he is willing to address the ego--I think this is really important teaching.
