*proof* that there is only the (eternal) "now"
I enjoyed this demonstration of "proof" that nothing exists but now, from Tolle's class on Monday--I'm going to have to paraphrase--
Essentially, he's saying: even though we rarely are in this moment, and people are always talking or listening to something, even out walking in nature, and even though
we tend to 'live' in the past, replaying memory or planning for some future, or wishing we were in the moment after this one, answer this.
Q When you are remembering something, when are you doing that?
A ...uh...now.
when you are planning or looking ahead, when are you doing that?
A ..now
and when that future moment comes, when IS it, then?
A now.
So, there is only really NOW. All we have to do is come to it.
In full presence of NOW, ego dissolves, and there is that flow of
what I like to call Ceiling: Unlimited. (borrowed from meteorology)
