Plaquenil / FD

Hey everyone,

Has anyone used Plaquenil for their scalp problem? I've been on it for 9 months now and my scalp is still in terrible shape. Symptoms include redness, scarring, hair loss, raised & rough sections, and tufted areas of the scalp.

I had a biopsy done and it identified my problem as central centrifugal scarring alopecia which is a lymphocytic type of scarring alopecia. Looking at different pictures on the net, it looks more like Folliculitis Decalvans which is of the neutrophilic type.

Since it looks more like FD, maybe I should be on Antibiotics instead of the antimalarials ...

Any thoughts?
