herpes syptoms stop over time?

Hey guys I am new to curezone. I found out that I had herpes a few months ago. I think I contracted it in November of 2006, so a year and four months ago. I have not taken any medication for it yet, though I have gotten Valtrex from my doctor. I am waiting to get a blood test to be 100% posotive that that is what I do indeed have. I got a cultured test and it showed up negative so I am holding onto hope that it MAY, just MAY be something else. I do not get sores that I normally associate herpes with. About once a month or maybe more I get this sore in labia minora that is just a little raised. I have a lot of sex with my boyfriend, totally protected, so I think this might just be some sort of sore from that that is never getting healed. I am a very small girl, and he is not. So I am not sure if he is just irritating my skin. I never had had this problem untill a year ago though so thats why I am feeling it is herpes. ANWAYS, I was reading up on here and saw a post from someone who was wondering what happened when you get really old and you have herpes and if the outbreak kills you since you wont be strong enough to fight it off. Someone replied and said that your symptoms diminish after 5-10 years so that you wouldnt have an outbreak at this age. What is the valedility in this, if anyone knows? Thank you : )

PS. I also seem to get foul smelling, sometimes fishy smelling discharge that is white when i get this bump, what is this? Sometimes it is thicker and whiter and does not have a smell really. any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
