Re: is this true?
For one thing, your body doesn't need any help ridding itself of toxins -- your kidneys, liver, and bladder already do the job nicely.
True, your body does get rid of toxins during the Master Cleanse. What did you think was going to do it. When your eating, like you, insulin prevents fats from being released and there are no toxins for your body to detox...that's why they call it detox.
And rather than trim you down quickly, "juice fasts" and "the master cleanse" may actually cause you to overeat: The beverages are high in refined sugar, which starts the digestive process and can create peaks and valleys in your blood
Sugar levels, leaving you hungry (not to mention irritable, lethargic, and headachy).
Incredibly after the first couple of days your body starts breaking down fat for energy. That's ketosis, because the grade B maple syrup isn't enough as a sole source of energy. The toxins are release from the fats and that's the only point in your post you were right on, the kidneys, liver and bladder eliminate them. Usually one doesn't feel blood
Sugar levels fluctuating as insulin is kept very low. That's necessary for fat loss.
protein, a macronutrient that's critical during weight loss.
I don't know where you heard that one. Protein is not needed for weight loss. It is necessary for muscle building, but then that's not what the
Master-Cleanse is trying to accomplish is it.
I just didn't want you to think that you haven't been thinking for the last 7 days for nothing!!!
