Re: Just another urban legend....
About twenty years ago I worked with a woman who I knew quite well (not in
the biblical sense) who was married with two children and she informed me that
she had slept with her boyfriend the night before her wedding to her
husband. It was her first marriage. I knew both her and her husband
quite well from before the marriage to the time she told me, and they had
produced two children by then.
There was a university level study in England which was out to determine what
percent of children were fathered by the husband or committed partner of the
woman giving birth. They did this through DNA analysis - which doesn't
lie. Through a large sampling of offspring they determined that 10% of all
children they had tested were not fathered by the woman's partner. When
the preliminary results were leaked to the public in 1999, there was such a
public outcry that the study had to be stopped. The one link I used to
have to the study has been dropped, and there is nowhere on the Internet that I
can any longer find reference to it. That's how adversely affected people
are with reality.
The moral standards of Western Civilization are just like those in the days
of the Roman Empire. What the written or understood morals are, are
violated en masse by those who proclaim them the loudest. Our idiocy
concerning sex and love has many generations to go before it reaches
maturity. There is no connection, and I mean none, between sex and
love. If you're into chakras you know that sex is in the first and second
chakras (the energy is in the second, the critters in the first) and love is
primarily in the fourth. People get their chakras mixed up all the
time. I know that I wasn't the first one to do so, nor was I the last.
