Re: apple cider vineger for keratosis pilaris?

My daughter has suffered from a worsening case of KP for the past two years. It started with red cheeks and bumps on the back of her upper arms. The redness spread to her neck and the bumps to her upper back. Her scalp developed a horrendous case of sebboriac dandruff. She tried all kinds of creams and I remember her trying apple cider vinegar on her scalp (also lemon juice). They helped a little, but nothing to write home about.

For the past three weeks she has been on a program to once and for all beat this nasty condition.

She has been oil pulling with Sunflower oil twice per day (this has REALLY helped her scalp...85-90%% cured already). Her skin feels much softer now. I oil pull myself with Sunflower and Sesame oil and I'm very impressed with the results.

My daughter is doing quite a few other things to help get rid of KP:

Strict diet: no gluten, milk products or refined sugar
Anti-candida product - Threelac
Liquid zinc by ionic minerals
Supplements from New Chapter: multi, E,selenium, B, minerals, omegas, C-(5per day); also Lugol's Iodine - three drops every other day.
Kelp oil (2 per day)

We are very pleased with the results so far. I don't think any one thing will beat this disfiguring skin ailment; but doing all these things together has made a radical improvment.
