There are both global moderators who have privileges on the whole site and local moderators who are assigned specific forums. Either moderator can give "R"s to deserving messages.

Dr. Sutter, I noticed I have moderator privileges on your forum, but I have not used them that I can remember because I do not interfere on private forums, I leave that to the forum owner who can moderate his own forum. Since I read your forum daily, I would be glad to review the recommended messages and give a R, RR, or RRR to messages that are especially informative or contain a good testimonial. I agree that there are many excellent posts here. Please let me know, either through a response to this message or through an E-mail and I will start acting as a moderator here.

Meanwhile, all of y'all that enjoy and learn from this forum, please start hitting the Alert-Good Message button and let us know which messages you find so good they need to be read by everyone. That is the real purpose of the R, RR, and RRR posts-to encourage new comers to read and learn from the very best posts.
