There is a lot of positive testimony from users( I don't know how long Invincible has taken it but she for one has found it quite effective as part of the Mororless Drink), via the Moreorless forum who have used calcium hydroxide as part of the Moreorless Alkanizing Drink. Perhaps, they will post their experiences here for the benefit of others. If you decide to try it, I think even a week or two would be sufficient time to find out if it agrees with you or not. Why risk taking something for a month if you feel that there is any risk that it could do more harm than good. Although it may not be scientific, sometimes it is not a bad idea to trust your intuition or gut instincts on such things.
