hi, you said it was painful when you had it put it, i hope that he didn't damage you inside(not to try to scare you), but when my dr. put it in me he numbed me first with a spray, it didn't hurt at all having it put in nor taken out.(he didn't numb me taking it out). i was breastfeeding when i had it put in and had just stopped bleeding until i had it put in, then my period and myself was never the same. i think i bled another straight month but it wasn't normal bleeding, spotting and a little more then the real period. the only thing that i like about the iud was eventually my periods were so light, but also often. if you're having really bad problems with it and more that just the bleeding, i don't know if you have or are comfortable with going to the health dept. but the one we have the gyn(who was also the one who inserted it in me), comes once a month to do free work. i had to get there early, but it was worth it. just a thought. i hope things get better for you.
