Hi, I was diagnosed with overproduction of testosterone 4 or 5 years ago and I've been on medication for that ever since. What I'm wondering is if anyone here with that same condition has taken the birth control pill Diane-35 (not available in the US) for decreasing hair growth. My endocrinologist tells me that this is the only birth control pill (because of some specific compound in it, not sure which) that can actually remove existing hair follicles which are a result of the male hormone. He has told me that he's had success in other patients with this birth control, but I was on it for 3 months about 2 years ago and it made me gain lots of weight and stop getting my period altogether, so I stopped. But I want to give it another try...so I'm wondering if anyone here has had any experience with it?
