Pass this on
to everyone you know taking one or more prescription medications...
http://www.naturalnews.com/022687.html
The FDA primarily relies on doctors for information about drug side effects, however as evidenced in this article, and my own experience, doctors RARELY admit to drug side affects, and when they do, will more often than not, change the individuals medication WITHOUT filing a report... there is NO incentive for them to file these reports.
YOU, can apparently file your own reports... check the link in the following paragraph. I am not sure what good, if any this reporting will have in the short term, but in the long run, it may have some impact... take screen shots of your report and save it/them along with the dates for your records.
From the article above...
"The FDA relies primarily on doctors to fill out "adverse event reports" to help monitor drugs after they have hit the market. Patients can also file reports at
http://www.FDA.gov/medwatch
but few people are aware of this program. In contrast, other countries such as New Zealand rely heavily on data from patients to continue monitoring drugs."
