Re: tmj Cranial Sacral vs Osteopath
I saw one D.O. and one Cranial Sacral therapist, both of whom did that very light/really not touching you - more of an energy healing- method. This did absolutely nothing for me. I lucked onto an old fashioned D.O. who knows where to touch points on you and they are sore, then he holds your leg out to the side a few minutes and the sore point is gone. My complaint was my jaw, but it has helped my ankle, shoulders and from the FIRST APPOINTMENT I have had steady improvement every month. The crazy thing is that the day after the 'treatment' everything is already totally shifted and then stays that way the whole month until the next appointment. Now I can sleep and chew and not go crazy clicking my jaw all day, etc. My teeth are never going to fit right to help my jaw be neutral after orthodonture in childhood. Also, I finally saw Xrays of how my jaw and jaw joints on one side are actually under-formed and one side is way longer than the other, etc. Also, bones coming from front to back at totally different angles! (By the way, I also had two weeks of neurocranial restructuring which was anything but subtle, didn't help, very scary, but at least it didn't hurt me. I think this method could work for certain people but all the people visiting were out of town visitors who had already made multiple trips.) I've only been seeing the D.O. less than once a month since last summer and I'm 95% to normal. Still haven't even spent what the dentist charged me ($1300 for the EVALUATION for the crazy $2500 splint). - WSW
