Lower abdomen and back pain

I had the Mirena inserted three weeks ago. I was booked in when my period was due but it hadn't started when I went to the clinic. It was still inserted and I ended up starting my period two days later. I haven't stopped bleeding since then but what is really uncomfortable is the constant lower abdominal and lower back pains.
