Re: It is time to take back our health care!
You know, I don't even know the difference between Text, Html or whatever other choices there were....Now that you know I'm an idiot,....Look, Ron Paul person: I think that's great that you're all excited about Ron Paul. Really. I was young once, too. Raises the level of debate and all that. And I know that people like you are rarely open to an opposing point of view [or open to anything, really....] but if you think about it, you are decrying the fact that ...whomever, WHO? rated us ....37th?...again, whatever,...as far as our health "system". Then you blame this on what little "centrally-managed disaster" we have. You need to get this: WHO was decrying the fact that we LACK MORE CENTRALLY MANAGED DISASTER LIKE EVERY OTHER CIVILIZED COUNTRY. WHO stats say Ron Pauls suck. To use that stat in support of your laissez-faire capitalism candidate [remember? that, um, like, didn't work,...] is weird. Was it that you authentically don't get that your candidate and WHO analysis are diametrically opposed? Were you being glib? Don't get me wrong...I love laissez-faire capitalism. After all, many of my friends are white males. I would do just fine... But really, isn't the failure of our health system due to the fact that it doesn't take care of sick and [often as a direct result] poor people and that this has a negative effect on our American BOTTOM LINE??? Haven't other countries figured out that taking care of the sick is good for the economy? I know health insurance. I sold health insurance for years. I'm chronicly ill. Ineffieciency? You think private insurance is effiecient? Think economies of scale, babe.
