Welcome! :D

Welcome to our very supportive forum, dear #93707!

U know I like your idea to set a short term goal:).. Do it, have proper refeading period, stick to a healthy eating (I do recommend a right combining of food. It really works for me. Search for this in the net), exercise 2-3-4 times a week and then if u 'behaved' with you proper eating come back here and set higher aim. It is always good to start with some days rather than going for extremes. Well, it is my personal opinion and I just talk for myself. For example me, I always had a tendency to end my fast badly (at least on a second day). They all were short term ones and the shock for my body was not that great. But still.... Some ppl here went for long fasts and were successful at it as in the process of it as during refeading period. All ppl are different. U need to decide for yourself and evaluate ur own potentials and 'tendencies'. Don't be too emotional by setting high goals which sounds just WOW or turn to this or that way to reduce weight only because you don't like the reflection of urself in a mirror. Please be patient and loose ur weigh GRA-DU-A-LLY and u will be there FOR SURE though may be a bit later. Ok:)..:))

U will be fine!

Ps: Ideally, try to eat a lot of vegetables and fruits for couple of days. Prepare urself for it. If u can't wait to start then eat at least one day before ur fast above mentioned healthy stuff (plus nuts if u want). Fonty recommends to make ur last meal before a fast based on FRUITS. My last day before I started this journey was full of vegies and fruits (nuts, salmon) and I do think mainly I have approached day 9 that easily coz I was prepared and as a result didnt feel that hungry almost from the day one.
