"Give me a sign .. any sign!"
Here’s a fun experience from yesterday.
So, after I did “The Work” on my mother and worked with the EGS (previous thread), we got on really well.
Now, it’s my dad’s turn. “You better do something about Daniel’s hair! And you better get him to look more presentable! And you better get him to learn to play an instrument properly! And you better get him to learn to communicate properly!..... or he’ll be the greatest failure in the family!! … and he’s a total embarrassment now …” and it goes on a bit from there.
Just a little about Daniel (my other twin, almost 15) - He’s very creative and I have always allowed him to do as he pleases. He dies his hair all sorts of different colours and wears the most amazing clothes all put together in an eclectic way. He plays rock guitar in a band and has also taught himself to play the piano. He’s extremely popular and has friends from all walks of life.
Me: “If I got Daniel to change all the things you wanted him to, what would Daniel get out of it? What is it that you want for him?”
My father: “Daniel would be happy and successful in the future.”
Me: “You could be right, yet I am noticing that Daniel *IS* happy right now, so perhaps we could just allow him be happy being who he is, doing what he enjoys.”
My father: “But he will be a failure!”
I silently asked the universal manager to “give me a sign, any sign .. something good to focus on right now.”
… and the doorbell rang and it was the postman.
So, I continue listening to my father on the phone and open the post at the same time.
There’s a letter from Daniel’s school saying that he has won an academic award and has been submitted to the Gifted and Talented register as being within the top 3% of high achieving kids in the UK.
Thank You Universe!! Hehe!!
