Re: Low sulphur - the final solution to pain free diet.
I have recently started work with an excellent nutritionist who told me that my gut had not healed after starting a gluten free diet 5 years ago because I was making it try to digest foods that were too complex and I didn't have the internal structures and enzymes to do it with. I also had mercury, arsenic, lead and aluminum to chelate out. After two months I feel a lot more nourished, and my gut is calmer and showing signs of healing. My metals test just came back clean.
Here is the program she gave me:
Avoid in particular: dairy, grains, sweeteners, canola oil
Breakfast:
2
oz George's Aloe juice (has no
preservatives )
1 T Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar in water sipped during meal or slugged down before meal
Fresh juice or fresh whole juice (made with whole vegetables in a VitaMix) consiting of 1 tomato, 1/2 cucumber, 3
Celery stalks, handful of cilantro, 4 dandelion leaves
A protein food (nuts, fish, eggs) and a large pile of steamed vegetables with avocado or oil to keep me full, followed by one fruit
Lunch:
same Apple Cider Vinegar
same vegetable juice
Big, big salad of lettuces and vegetables with a carrot grated over the top.
Dressing made from 1/3 C lemon juice, 1/3 C olive oil, 1/3 cup water, blended in blender
1 seasonal fruit and 4
oz nuts (soaked and dehydrated) whirled in blender with a bit of lemon juice to make the nuts easier to digest
Dinner:
small salad
1 pound steamed vegetables with lemon dressing
Followed by or combined with:
wild fish 2 x week
game or poultry 2 x week
bean or lentil stew 2 x week
1 pound baked yam with 1/2 orange squeezed into it
Drink lots and lots of water, as this program really hauls the trash out to the curb.
She had me take HealthWalk's chelator (XTract) at 2 per day for three weeks with one week off. She also had me take their Squalene at 2 per day. She wanted me to take their AdaptAid but I couldn't tolerate it. I also took their Rupronal (olive leaf extract) for a while for gut bugs.
I also rotated my protein foods carefully since I have allergy problems from leaky gut and my body freaks if it thinks I am piling in too much of one thing (brought on by eating brown rice 4-5 times a day for several years). I made my vegetable juice in a VitaMix because I can tolerate fiber and needed to stay full.
I don't know if all this would help you, but it had done so for me. I am also looking into low sulphur foods because my doctor says I don't handle them well (I reacted to a sulpha drug as a child and have trouble with sulphur foods now - see

With sympathy and wishes of good success.
