I'm having another reaction!!..

I got my Exfoliative Cheilitis from lip picking. The usual skin goes white when wet, inflammation and chronic growing skin. During my numerous treatments, i think my body has been trying to heal itself. Am i the only one who experience normal skin for 2days about every 5 months and then bumps form?(which i assume are Acne of the lips). Right now as i type my lips are a little swollen but they feel so good. I can't remember how normal lips feel but it must be something like this. The skin is tight and grooved. What normally triggers this is vigorous licking.

The dilemna is this happens every year but never before this quick. I just had one a month ago. Only thing i've done different is use Vitamin A, it's doing something. It is risky i could break out into the dreaded "acne" on lips(you don't want this ever!!)... which is an overproduction of sebum and keratin.

Another question is about inflammation. Is inflammation a sign that your body is trying to get rid of injury/infection?... Wouldn't your lips have to get inflammed for a chance to heal? Because i've been through phases where the lips just grow skin and peel but aren't inflammed. Right now i'm a little worried that i might get the "acne" on the lips again but this may be an inflammatory response. I'd assume my lips are in the right balance of sebum and keratin... but they are inflammed.

Am i the only one who gets this... pimples on the lips every 5 months? Any ideas?
