It appears to be a small umbilical hernia. It needs surgical correction. Till you prepare for surgery, you may use abdominal belt to give additional protection. Operation is routinely done with mesh. But then you are advised to restrain from your activities till body tissue takes up the mesh and sufficient strength is developed in that. This might take 1-3 years. We have adopted a modifide natural repair for such hernia called as 6 layer repair. It is without mesh so no complications of mesh.
