Re: Borax/Boron
Have been using borax (sodium tetraborate decahydrate)for about a week now and have had nothing but positive reactions.
Skin has regained elasticity, and re-hydrated with topical application.
hands don't feel so dry.
red patches on face have all but disappeared.
From what I have read it is similar in toxicity to common salt.
I have also taken a daily amount ~20mg per day for about a week now with no side effects.
Since using this I am no longer suffering from insomnia, and feel more energised.
so far so good.
I will continue to use it for a month and then reduce usage to ~3-4mg/day internally and use it topically whenever I feel the need.
I have found that it is used throughout industry including cosmetics - once ph balanced (it is only mildly alkaline)it is used in skin creams as it is an emulsifier of fats and wax's.
It is certainly less harsh than boric acid - which needs to be used with more caution due to the acidity and the higher amount of elemental boron present.
Overall I think that borax is more useful than dangerous and has the added benefit (according to studies) of binding with fluorides and removing them from our bodies.
