Re: fake hunger...?

Fake hunger is cravings for processed foods which is an addictive reaction which is deliberately (in many cases) stimulated by products like chocolate and sweets, but many others that aren't so obvious. The body gets 'used to' the byproducts of these foods rather than the nutrients in them- caffiene for example, artifically processed sugars etc- and the body complains when we then try to deny it those artificial substances.

Fasting removes those cravings by excreting the old byproducts from our system and removing our 'need' for them to be replaced right away. It can be like going cold turkey off any drug though so it takes a fair bit of willpower to get through those initial few days for many, luckily that difficult time is pretty short or a lot less of us would make it through at all! After the body has removed all the byproducts of our bad eating habits, cleaned and repaired the body completely or as well as it could in the time it has, and it runs out of stored nutrition to continue functioning efficiently, that is when true hunger kicks in. True hunger is a result of the organism running out of the nutrients it needs to sustain vital bodily funtions and it demands the ingestion of more nutrients, in the most easily digestible forms.

And no that doesn't mean chocolate again as I have heard many doctors say! lol It means natural food grown in the earth with the vital ingredients being the nutrients our body needs to live and the water it needs to digest them efficiently.

I hope that explains things well enough. There is a free online book here that explains the whole process and more that is really worth knowing for your intended fast:
