I prefer epidural and they use a MD. You also don't feel groggy afterwards. Some people get a headache because they sit up too fast when they are back in their room. Keep you head flat for a while. When I got back in my room I already could wiggle my toes.
I also used the epidural 30 years ago with tubeligation, besides when I had my 2 kids.
I feel it also keeps the doctors on their toes, since you are not completely gone.
Though they do give you some medication that makes you feel sleepy, some people need that, my doctor said because they are very nervous, I am the opposite I find it interesting.
My MD let me look through the instrument with the tubeligation, but I had trouble focusing my eyes :)
