Thank you for this very interesting information. I have elevated bp secondary to Depression meds (Effexor XR). I will try the Sea Salt + increased water intake. I knew that table salt was "processed" and generally inferior to Sea Salt but bought the conventional wisdown that salt in general was "bad" - especially for bp - and had limited my intake as a result. I never considered that so many nutrients were being lost simply by consuming the wrong kind of salt.

I am concerned that salt causes the body to retain water. I do have weight gain issues (again partly because of anti-depressants). I may have "fatty liver" which makes weight loss difficult. Is this anything I should be concerned about?
