In my case the pain migrated , from hip to lower back to my hands and knees, my jaws. Then all of a sudden I had my left toe which hurt as if broken, now almost two month post removal after 17 months with Mirena I have had an inguinal pain on the left that radiates to my knee and the doctor doesn't know!!!!, first she said it might be a hip dysplasia, now may be arthritis, but never the Morena.... I"m working on a Power point presentation with photos and valid clinical info to be past around the world as an email attachment and spread the word on the adverse effects of Mirena for patiens, families and doctors to recognise the truth and not fool around anymore with this reality.
Best of luck to you.
By the way, I have a very close friend with a Mirena for 5 years (she will replace it next March) and so far she is being in favor, in spite her nausea, headaches and lack of energy. It is always a matter of choice.
