The very first time that I saw your posts, my thought was, "Oh great, another gizmo! And this one is gonna take all the fun out of smoking!". However, after checking out the website (beautiful site, btw!) I am really intrigued about this product. They just began enforcing a new law in my area that bans smoking in nearly all indoor places! Everywhere I go I am hearing people talking about the smoking issue, and more and more people are standing outside in the freezing cold to smoke a cigarette! I actually got in on one of these smoker's rights debates between two women at a coffee shop the other night. Ms. Self-Righteous-Non-Smoker was on her high-horse about how great it was to have these new laws that protect Her rights and Her health, and the woman with her (who appeared to be a smoker) couldn't even get a word in edgewise. So, I butt in for her! Here's the deal about the health issue argument; first of all, those debating this issue are beginning with the false premise that smoking is bad for you and causes cancer. Nope, sorry! If anything about smoking causes cancer, it is all the damn chemicals that they add to the tobacco, paper and filters! A young man told me just the other day that the faint grayish stripes on the paper of some cigarettes are actually gunpowder so the damn things will burn faster and stay lit! Yea, OK, what does inhaling burning gunpowder do to ya? And that's not to mention all the other ways that they have effed around with tobacco, and manipulated it's addictive properties! And besides, lung cancer is more about grief and sadness, anyway!

There's another part to this whole health issue and smoking. While non-smokers so smugly talk about their rights to breathe clean air and how second-hand smoke has such an adverse effect on their health, they are probably actually more in danger now of health problems. How is that? As more and more people are standing out in the cold, their increasing their chances of lowered resistance and catching colds, flu and pneumonia. Just last week I met a woman who was smoking outside, in the cold, and hacking away with pneumonia! And, hey, she wasn't just coughing on smokers! Everyone around her was also at risk of catching pneumonia! And frankly, I do far better breathing tobacco smoke than I do breathing many perfumes, men's colognes, cleaning products, and air fresheners!

I smoke. I enjoy smoking. I don't smoke nearly as much as I did, and I am also observing patterns around my smoking. For example, I am finding that I may have more of a craving to smoke around certain people or in certain environments. This makes me think of incense and burning herbs, such as smudge, and I am beginning to wonder if there is not some purification effect at work that accounts for why I will 'crave' a cigarette more often in these particular environments. I am also quite particular about what I smoke. In addition to smoking Nat Shermans, I have also begun smoking Djarum Black clove cigarettes. These satisfy my desire to smoke, and they also help ease some of the mouth pain I'm experiencing that results from needing a bunch of dental work! They also smell better than a lot of tobacco, and they look really cool, too, rolled in black paper, lol!

Anyhoo... Since the government seems so hell-bent on taking away more and more of our liberties, and there are an ever-growing number of places that prohibit smoking indoors, I want to give this product a try. And I was also thinking that this product should be made available on airplanes! Think about it! Smokers are flying intercontinental flights without being able to light up a cigarette! Now, who came up with that brilliant idea! That's just what we need; edgy, tense smokers who are having serious nicotine cravings and flying around in winged WMDs! Crap, you'd think that the airlines would fight like maniacs to try to make their customers as happy as clams! Hey, I can dream, can't I? Well, actually no, not very often at all anymore, lol!
