because of the Linoleic Acid in the oil, for both the weight loss and psoriasis.

Several years ago when I first go into nutrition, I read the Adelle Davis book "Let's Eat Right to Keep Fit" and I learned that if a body is deficient in Linoleic Acid it can be prone to overweight. At that time I was a few pounds overweight, and I had some dry skin patches (although it was not psoriasis)

I started ingesting 2 tablespoons of Safflower Oil a day, which happens to be one of the oils highest in Linoleic Acid. Within a few weeks time, I lost about 15 to 20 pounds, and all of my dry skin patches disappeared!

So I believe that we do absorb some of the oil and the nutrients from it.

Incidentally, I have been swishing with Safflower Oil now for about 3 weeks because it works best for me!
