I've been trying my best for almost a week- yesterday I was 6 lbs lighter, tonight I'm back to 196lbs- 7lbs more what figures???

Sometimes your body will insist on doing its own thing far from what you desire.Its best to be patient, determined for soon thatohase will pass and normal weight loss returns. Unfortunatley you dont mention much other than your weight gain so its really hard to say. Could it be you have your period or its around the corner, water retention may mean an extra 5 lbs of temporary water weight. You dont specify what youv'e been doing in your effort from the past week. Also at your body weight I'm assuming it shoukd be really easy to loose a lot of weight fast unless youv'e been yoyo fasting that your body has become less efficient at fasting.There's also the issue of juice fasting some people think they can drunk to thier hearts content and stll loose weight unfotunatley this means leess weight is lost than could have.
Be patient and if any of the above applies just work on it, if not try to figure out what going on it could just be a plateau and it will pasS.Whatever the case just be proud of yourself for taking steps to improve yourself and your health!!
