Good for you!!
Wow, I am extremely impressed by your resolve!!
I have not been to medical doctor many years, but what I hear is enough to cringe even at the thought of it. I know their intimidating and belittling methods are unparalleled, and it would take a strong determination and lot of inner clarity not to cave in to the threats and coercion.
I would imagine you should be able to find some decent practicioner in your area if you start looking around. Not sure how you feel about chiropractors, there are plenty of those, who do LOT more than just crack the spine.
If you begin by asking (or checking) around for those, who use applied kinesiology, it would be a good start... Of course they do not do any blood tests, it is all accomplished by basically communicating directly with the body.
Then there are naturopaths, the acupuncturists, herbalists, and plethora of others... I am sure not all of them would pan out in the long run, but there ARE some gems out there...
I really applaud you for having the courage to take a stand and take your health and well-being into your own hands.
I hope you will be able to find some caregiver, who actually respects you and will work with you rather than in spite of you.
Best of luck with everything...and btw from your earlier description, it looks like you are doing all the right things anyway.
