Zoe!  I loved your post!  Your black lab sounds like my Rascal.

Isn't it amazing how all the neighborhood dogs are just like kids going to each other's houses to play?

Here's one for ya!  Two years ago I rescued a puppy and named him Noah.  I think he's part golden retriever.  Beautiful puppy and now a beautiful dog.  I guess, as he grew, he just didn't like it here and took residence at one of my neighbor's, Mr. PJ.  After bringing him home several times and Noah going back to PJ's again and again, I apologized profusely.  Guess he liked his house, his food, and his dogs better.  Not to worry, PJ didn't mind.  End of story..... Noah, took residence at PJ's and never came back.  Now every time I pass PJ's house, I honk and wave.
