Re: Day 10
Way to be Vegie G!
I'd say that having a 3 year old is definitely exercise! Better that Balley's!!!
Though not an expert(is anyone?!), it is logically best to let the body get back into the eating zone before going full speed ahead. It takes about two weeks for a normal body to regenerate its natural probiotics(per
Andreas Moritz ). This should allow ample time for the digestive system to reassimilate solid food as well so it can absorb the necessary nutrients required for strenuous exercise. Many experienced MCers feel that breaking for half the time of the actual cleanse is a good idea, I adhere to that philosophy, thus for you 5 days. 10 days doesn't affect the body as much as a longer cleanse, say 21 days +,where it takes longer for the body to get back to it's normal or 'new' metabolism. (though we create and govern that metabolism)
I personally feel that 21-60 days may take 6-8 months respectively for the body to fully recover from the cleanse. Too many rush into 'normal' eating and physical routines. The break is just as important as the lemonade days,if not more so, and if Stanley was around today , he would surely stress that, too.
As always, reading and knowing your own body is crucial to a succesful cleanse and healthy lifestyle, you are your best advisor to give yourself 'expert' advise.
I hear of many folks doing heavy workouts during the cleanse, which can be fine, however one must remember that we are only taking in 360-1200 calories per day(based on 50 calories per tablespoon of maple syrup). Sleeping 'alone' burns about 50 calories per hour. So it doesn't take a math genius to see that it's easy to over do it especially when we feel so good in the
Master-Cleanse zone. I've had times after 6 weeks on the cleanse where I worked out and felt like I could go all day...holding back is crucial, as the
Master-Cleanse is NOT just a cleanse...holding back that energy and focusing/directing it on healing and rejuvenating your body is key to a successful Master Cleanse.
Nothing wrong with hour long walks-heavy stretching any time...in the meantime, follow your heart and better judgement.
Have fun shopping for your soup, and enjoy your OJ!! Take care of that freshly
cleaned bod!
