Just Get Rid of It!

I have lost over half of my head hair because of the hormones in Mirena. I had the Mirena for 2 1/2 years--and my hair steadily fell out of my head during that time period. I also noticed that my hair on my arms and under my navel got darker and longer. I don't usually post on this forum (because some other pressing health issues I am dealing with such as Candida) but I thought I would put my two cents in here to save some of you from the misery of losing your hair. It is awful to have your hair fall out to the point where you can see scalp! My hair looks thin and sparse. I once had plent of hair to cover my scalp, but no longer is that the case.

My advice to all here is to get the Mirena out of your body ASAP. Sure it was great in some respects - no periods, sex without condoms, but the stress and the loads of money I have spent on hair products in attempt to get my hair to stop shedding has been HUGE. I had Mirena taken out in November 2006 and my hair is still coming out (the damage is done apparently). If I had only known this was going to happen I would have never in a million years had the Mirena inserted. And if it does that to your hair, God knows what else is it doing to your body.
