Hiya Rygar, how are you? :-)
I know what you mean about the hyped up thing... I'm playing around too learning this stuff so others may have better feedback but I'm thinking level of focus and intensity will be more important than the emotional state. I can be very calm and have a lot of intense focus and emotional investment in my goal, and I think the same thing can probably happen in a more hyped up state.
You know, even as I type about it and think about it, although I don't think the hyped up state is bad, I personally am feeling an affinity for a calmer state coupled with focus and feeling.
