So sorry to hear that your bird is going through that. Yes, your bird has a fungus infection through her system thats why her skin is flaky. The same as dandruff (a flaky scalp for us). When we are burdened with lots of dandruff its because we have a fungus on our scalp. Personally, I do not have a bird, so I dont want to give you the wrong advice but I do want to help in a small way if I can. I can say that if it was my bird and she was going through that, I would definately give it Miracle-Mineral-Supplement . The smallest dosage possible. But i would also remember that if i start giving the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and eventually saw that it wasnt hurting her, but was helping, that I would make sure to CONTINUE giving it to her. Why? because if you stop, the yeast/fungus grows back, but even more if you stop. so if it were me, i would probably give the dosage you said, but on a regular basis to see if she stops the itching in about 2 months (it takes time to work). It's hard to fight fungus because it is so strong.
If it were my bird, I would probably give it to her for about 2 months first, then add something like a small of cinnamon oil to its water so the digestive system can get all cleaned out from the fungus.
