Re: lil sad

It's okay, Roooth - you're "allowed" to feel sad from time to time!

I may have posted this before to you, specifically, but have you ever considered starting a spouse's support group for your husband's unit? You seem sharp, witty, and dedicated to your spouse enough that you could handle something like that.

I had a friend whose husband was an enlisted submariner - holy CROW, but he'd be gone for months and months at a time with little-to-no contact. She was a volunteer Ombudsman for the spouses of the submariners who were all aboard her husband's sub. She organized get-togethers, outings, fund-raising, orientation for newbies, etc. Her efforts not only helped the other lonely (and, sometimes, fearful) wives, but she helped herself stay busy while he was gone.

Just an idea.

Hang in there, Roooth! This is just temporary. Best wishes to you!
