Re: TMAU and chemical reactions to other people

Oh my god, i have always looked at this site and the msn body odour one and you are the only one who has completely described exactly what i face. I was tested a while back with tmau and tested positive. They have figured out that it isnt the primary one but have to do a further 24 hour urine sample to test again for the secondary one. I know this will be the case because i only started smelling 4/5 years ago - whilst away at uni (i believe it may have something to do with drinking stupid amounts).

Anyway, its true. Whenever i am in morissons or tesco near the veg i always start smelling of rotten veg especially onions. Also certain areas can make me smell - a road with curry houses for example will make me smell of onion and curry. At the weekend met up with my friend who was wearing damp smelling clothes. I started to smell like that for a whole day. It is really hard to try and explain this to other people - its as though our body cannot break down other people's smell... weird.

When do you find out about your test results? have you always smelled or do you think yours is the secondary tmau like me?
