That's a good question.

My pores have gotten out of control as I've gotten older. Looking in a magnifying glass is somewhat horrifying, almost like taking a trip to the grand canyon!

Lately I've been exfoliating more. I think this is key. It keeps the stuff from above infiltrating the pores below. I do this almost every other day, but do so very gentley.

I use a good Green Clay mask twice a week. I get the clay from Mountain Rose Herbs. They have a website.

Before I put the mask on I steam my face. I've been looking for an ozone facial steamer, but can't afford one yet. So I just steam it over a hot pot of water. I have heard that Fenugreek leaves, mashed into a mask is very good, but I haven't tried that yet. I will soon though.

Now here is one thing that sort of strange, and considering what site we are on is probably not a "purist" kind of thing, but if you grind up three uncoated aspirin, and mix it with a bit of honey and slather it on your face until a bit dried, this does amazing things for your skin. Because I don't take pharmaceuticals anymore, I don't do it often because it does soak into your skin. But if you have oily skin, or any hyperpigmentation, the acids in the aspirin do an amazing job on your skin. You can also use it as an exfoliant.

Anyway, that is my politically incorrect post of the day!!

Molly
