Re: Quick fixes

Springy,

Without being mean, I can't tell you how stupid it is to look at TSH levels, especially after your admission that you don't have any hypo symptoms.

If you don't have symptoms, you CERTAINLY should not be taking medicine, unless it is your pleasure to help supplement someone else's income.

TSH means almost nothing. It is simply the feedback loop for your thyroid system. You should be looking at your Free T3 and Free T4. These are your ACTUAL hormone levels and are much better at telling if you need more or less thyroid hormone. Even this is elusive as the "normal" range is so broad. Some people feel best when their levels are at the top of the range, some in the middle, and some even outside the range.

You need a new doctor. Unfortunately most doctors have drunk the TSH koolaid.

Also, forget about the man-made flushes and cleanses. Try nature's detox program: fasting.
