2yr old w/ droopy eyelid

I have a two year old who has been suffering with an droopy eyelid now for 1 month (1 week trying to treat at home and 3 weeks to wait for appointment w/ Nationwide Children's Hospital). After waiting to see my child after almost nearly a month (a crying shame, no pun intended) to see my child they diagnosed my son w/ droopy eyelid (which I and my wife had already expected) and have scheduled surgery for Feb. 8th. We've been working fervently to find a more sensible alternitive which doesn't require surgery to a two year old's eyelid. CAN YOU PLEASE ASSIST US WITH YOUR EXPERTISE?
